Flashes

During the Global Blackout, most people experienced a "flash forward", a vision of their whereabouts for two minutes and seventeen seconds on April 29, 2010. Even the most skeptical people on the planet believe that these visions contain a true picture of the future. ("Black Swan") Their cause is being investigated by the Mosaic Investigation. The FBI Field Office in Los Angeles launched a website known as the Mosaic Collective in order to aid in their investigation and create a bigger picture of the events on April 29, 2010. ("No More Good Days")

Most reported visions have taken place in real-time, however there are some people such as Agent Mark Benford who experienced only fleeting, impressionistic images. ("Gimme Some Truth") There are also people who blacked out, but had no flash whatsoever, such as Agent Demetri Noh and Sheriff Keegan. As far as the Mosaic Investigation knows, this is because the individual has died prior to April 29th. ("White to Play") Four individuals (Simon Campos, D. Gibbons, Flosso and Victor) are known not to have had any blackouts at all. ("Revelation Zero, Part 2")

Since the blackout, people have started using these flashes to dictate how they live their lives instead of using logic and reason to figure things out. The primary method of investigation used by the FBI Field Office in LA has been using the Mosaic Investigation wall from the flash of Agent Benford. At Angeles Hospital, Dr. Bryce Varley used Edward Ned's flash to deduce that Ned had an undiagnosed case of Addison's Disease. ("Black Swan")

He was pacing in front of a large bulletin board spanning one wall of the office, covered with notes and objects relating to his investigation of the blackout. Taking a long drink from a flask of some alcoholic beverage, he wrote a note reading "Who else knows?", underlined, on a page from a daily calendar, which displayed a date of April 29, 2010. He was wearing a handmade friendship bracelet. He then saw two dark figures carrying weapons with laser sights, approaching the office. He readied his own weapon as they drew closer. They were wearing plastic Halloween masks that covered their entire heads. One had a tattoo with three stars on his left forearm, a tattoo which was diagrammed among the notes on the bulletin board. The flashforward ended before any violence got started. ("No More Good Days") Mark's flash was experienced in impressionistic images most likely due to his intoxication. ("Gimme Some Truth") He was on the phone with Lloyd Simcoe, rudely refusing Lloyd's request for more time. He then mentions that they don't have time because there is going to be another blackout. ("Revelation Zero, Part 1")	None	"Future Shock" Mark's future appears to be mostly the same. He still appear drunk at the FBI office and stares at the board. This time, he notices Gabriel's changes which alert him to the time of the second global flash forward at 10:14.
Demetri Noh Demetri Noh		Demetri claims that he experienced no flashforward during the global blackout, and was simply unconscious for the two-minute-seventeen-second duration of the event. ("No More Good Days")	None	"Future Shock" He survives his initial death date and is at the NLAP with Simon. He elects not to wear the alpha ring in order to see his next flashforward.
Lloyd Simcoe Lloyd Simcoe		Lloyd was leaving the room in which Olivia Benford is lying on the bed behind him, yet he does not see her. He is walking away while holding a cell phone, saying he has to "take a call". As he makes his way downstairs, the sound of kids can be heard, while he passes a basketball on the floor. Staring into the fireplace, Lloyd looked up towards Olivia, though the flash ended before he could see her face. ("Black Swan") Lloyd's Flash was reinforced when he visited the Benford home in search of his wandering son Dylan and realized that he recognized the living room. ("Scary Monsters and Super Creeps") Lloyd tells Simon that he received a text message containing some formula from him during his flash. Lloyd later corroborates Mark Benford's newly remembered accounts of the phone conversation between the two of them. ("Revelation Zero, Part 1"). Sometime prior to the Flash, someone had written formulas on a mirror in the bedroom using lipstick. ("Blowback")	"Black Swan" "Revelation Zero, Part 1" "Blowback"	"Future Shock" Lloyd has a similar flashback, except he realizes that his son is the one that makes the lipstick equation, and he opts to not take his shirt off.
Bryce Varley Bryce Varley		Bryce's Flash has been referred to since "No More Good Days". He described it as showing a positive future which caused him to give up the idea of committing suicide. Bryce was later seen drawing the face of an unidentified woman, possibly one that appeared in his flash. ("Black Swan") After episodes of only being referenced, Bryce's Flash was finally seen in "Believe". In his Flash, Bryce meets the woman whose picture he has been drawing since "No More Good Days". He is sitting in a sushi restaurant he apparently does not know to be in Los Angeles. He orders tea and food; Keiko walks in carrying her guitar case. Bryce greets her and asks her to join him. After asking permission he examines the ideogram on her wrist. They both smile. The Flash ran approximately one minute, twenty seconds.	"Believe"	"Future Shock" Bryce's flashforward is basically the same.
Nicole Kirby Nicole Kirby		Nicole was deeply distressed following the GBO, crying heavily at the TV reportage, and telling Mark that she regarded the blackout as a punishment from God. ("No More Good Days") She saw herself being drowned by someone for a currently unknown reason, although she mentioned she felt like she deserved it. ("Black Swan") Nicole told Timothy about her Flash and he told her she might have been undergoing baptism. ("Revelation Zero, Part 2")	"Black Swan" "Revelation Zero, Part 2"	"Future Shock" Nicole is drowning, but because she accidentally drives off the road into the water. The image she saw grabbing her is not her drowner but instead someone trying to save her from drowning and pulling her out of the water.
Aaron Stark Aaron Stark		Wearing a dark robe, Stark is speaking to his daughter, whom he had previously believed was dead. She was laying down and her face was covered with scratches. They appeared to be in a hut of some kind, with people walking around, and Stark seemed very secretive about his visit with her. ("No More Good Days") Aaron left the hut and met with Kahmir Dejan. After Dejan told Aaron that the account had been verified, Aaron handed him a packet that appeared to be the right size to contain U.S. currency. ("Playing Cards with Coyote")	"No More Good Days" "White to Play" "Black Swan" "Playing Cards with Coyote"	"Future Shock" Aaron seems to be in the same place but occupied solely with the health of his daughter.
Stanford Wedeck Stanford Wedeck		Stan was sitting on a toilet in a stall of a men's restroom, reading the sports section of a newspaper. He read about a game in which the Rays rallied from three runs down to sweep the Sox at Fenway, and another story about Kobe Bryant tearing a ligament in his knee, which benched him for the season. ("No More Good Days") Upon leaving the stall after the blackout, he notices a man with his head in a urinal, drowning. Stan helped the man by removing him from the urinal and proceeding to give him mouth-to-mouth, a very embarrassing subject to him. ("White to Play")	"No More Good Days" "White to Play"	"Future Shock" Stan is in a stall, but not reading a newspaper, hiding from the masked men, one of whom he shoots when he enters the bathroom.
Olivia Benford Olivia Benford		Olivia was lying on her bed in nightwear which her husband had given her and which she had thrown away following the GBO ("Playing Cards with Coyote") as a bare-chested Lloyd excused himself to take a telephone call. ("White to Play") Olivia was lying on her bed, scantily clad. She sensuously rose and went out to the hall, looking downstairs at a Lloyd sitting on her couch. She smiled and called down to him, "Hey, honey." He turned to look up at her, though never saw her face. ("No More Good Days")	"No More Good Days" "White to Play" "137 Sekunden" "Black Swan" "Playing Cards with Coyote" "Queen Sacrifice"	"Future Shock" Olivia kisses Lloyd but otherwise is not intimate with him. She stops her daughter from seeing the CIA agent talking about Mark and overhears this conversation herself instead, which reveals that Mark is not actually dead, but has put himself into a deadly situation by entering the armed-bomb FBI building.
Janis Hawk Janis Hawk		In her flash, Janis was getting an obstetrical ultrasound because she had suffered a partial abruption; however the bleeding had stopped. The embryo was seventeen weeks along, and was that of a girl. The father of the baby is currently unknown. Janis will not become pregnant until January 2010. In "Gimme Some Truth", the face of the technician was shown for the first time. ("No More Good Days") ("White to Play") ("Goodbye Yellow Brick Road")	"No More Good Days" "White to Play" "Gimme Some Truth" "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"	"Future Shock" Janis' future is the same except that she is having a boy.

Demitri told her about getting jenis pregnant and she didnt want him to come to hawaii with her.
Charlie Benford Charlie Benford		She was at home, met Dylan Simcoe. She heard Lloyd's voice from another room, claiming that D. Gibbons lied. At the same time Dylan made sentence "D Gibbons a bd man" using magnet letters on refrigerator and said "Bad people lie". Charlie heard fireworks and went to backdoor. She saw two men in suits and one of them said "Mark Benford is dead". ("Better Angels")	"Better Angels"	Almost the same thing happend, only this time olivia didn't let her hear about her father's soppoused death.
Al Gough Al Gough		Al met with Fiona Banks in her London office at 6 am on April 30, 2010. They were working on the Rutherford case. Their conversation was interrupted when a bird flew into the window, breaking its neck. ("No More Good Days") He also observed the bird lying on the ground before receiving a call on his cell phone and stepping out into a hallway. ("Scary Monsters and Super Creeps") He spoke with his attorney on the call, learning that Celia had been taken off life-support and died; Al blamed himself for the woman's death, though his attorney assured him that his involvement had been a completely random accident, and lamented that her two sons were now orphans. ("The Gift") As Al later committed suicide, this Flash can no longer happen in the real future.	"No More Good Days"	Al was already dead durin D-Day
Dylan Simcoe Dylan Simcoe		Only bits of Dylan's flash have been seen. Dylan is at the Benford's house, eating a cookie from the cookie jar and making friends with Charlie Benford. He memorizes the address from a piece of mail, after Charlie tells him that her house is his too. Lloyd Simcoe was sitting on a sofa behind him. ("Scary Monsters and Super Creeps") ("Blowback") He also recognizes Olivia Benford when regaining consciousness after the accident during the GBO. ("No More Good Days")	"Scary Monsters and Super Creeps"
Tracy Stark Tracy Stark		Tracy's flash has only been referred to, not seen. Although no flashforward has been revealed from her perspective, her father experienced a vision in which she is alive and seems well, if mildly injured, lying on a cot in a tent of some kind, with men walking around them. ("No More Good Days")	None
Agent Vreede Agent Vreede		During his vision, Vreede was headed out the security exit and saw the date, April 29, 2010, on the news. ("Gimme Some Truth")	"Gimme Some Truth"	"Future Shock" Vreede actually headed through gate, chasing masked assassin who came after Mark
Marshall Vogel Marshall Vogel		Marshall was standing outside Benford's house with another man. He said "Mark Benford is dead" and saw Charlie looking at them from inside the house. ("Better Angels")	"Better Angels"	"Future Shock" Vogel actually came to Benford's house as Mark asked him to protect Lloyd in case masked assassins will come after him. He said to his partner about Mark entered FBI office and so "Mark Benford is Dead". For some reason his parter smiled.
Marcie Turoff Marcie Turoff		Marcie was sitting behind glass in visit room, wearing prison robe, discussing possible parole with her lawyer. First time she felt like she's important because FBI wanted to know who hired her ("Let No Man Put Asunder")	"Let No Man Put Asunder"

Following Demetri's post on the Mosaic Collective website, Nhadra contacted him anonymously, saying that in her flash, she had been reading an intelligence report about him being murdered on March 15, 2010. Felicia Wedeck Felicia Wedeck		Felicia was at her home, tucking in a boy whom she addressed as Attaf. Attaf responded by calling her "mom". At the time of the GBO she had never met the boy. ("137 Sekunden")	"137 Sekunden"
Abdi Khalif Abdi Khalif		Abdi was standing on a tribune at the Assembly of African Union, in front on many people and speacking about future of Somalia, "better angels" (quoting Abraham Lincoln), saying that he is not willing to wait any day longer.
