Character Biography
Edit
Pre-Flash
Edit
Marcie joined the Los Angeles Field Office two years prior to the global blackout. Demetri Noh, Janis Hawk, and Al Gough also joined on this day. While Noh and Gough were assigned partners (Shelly Vreede and Mark Benford, respectively, although they would switch partners), Marcie was assigned an analyst position, reporting to Janis. ("Let No Man Put Asunder")
Flash
Edit
In her flashforward, Marcie is sitting behind glass in visit room, wearing prison robe, discussing possible parole with her lawyer. First time she felt like she's important and that she is indispensible because FBI wants to know who recruited her. ("Let No Man Put Asunder")
Post-Flash
Edit
Following the GBO, Turoff was assigned to the Mosaic Collective, and appeared in several videos on its website.
Marcie was revealed as being a mole in "Queen Sacrifice". When she realized that Agent Benford and Agent Noh are on to her, she grabbed the gun of another agent, started shooting agents at the FBI office, including Agent Curdy and almost managed an escape with the help of an unknown motorcyclist. She was apprehended alive by Janis Hawk, who is revealed at the end of the episode as another mole, with a better cover (since she had "investigated" Marcie's past and physically apprehended her). ("Queen Sacrifice") Six agents were shot in the escape attempt. ("Let No Man Put Asunder")
In interrogations by Mark Benford, Janis Hawk, and Demetri Noh, Marcie refused to reveal who recruited her, only that she transferred information using dead drops and that the telephone number she used to call the people she was working for changed every time. She also indicated she feels valued by the FBI for the first time now that she has valuable information and that she did not betray her friends and country lightly. Turoff was later to be transferred to custody in Washington, D.C. Before leaving, she apologetically tells Demetri that there is nothing he can do to prevent his death in three days. ("Let No Man Put Asunder")
