Omar was one of two male terrorists (the other is Khalid) under surveillance by Mark Benford, Demetri Noh and other members of the FBI. Omar and Khalid were working with Alda Hertzog and were planning to plant a dirty bomb somewhere in the city. Moments before the Global Blackout Mark and Demetri were tailing them but they were spotted by the terrorists and a high speed pursuit began. Moments later whilst the pursuit was still in progress the Blackout occured. Both men were found dead in their vehicle after the Global Blackout.
